TJC’s Mountain Judaism Shabbat

TJC’s Mountain Judaism Shabbat

Shabbat - Saturday - April 20, 2024

10am - Meet at Tunnel Creek Cafe (Incline Village)

We will welcome Spring back to Tahoe as our Tahoe Jewish Community begins to embrace or Festival of Freedom - Pesach.  On this Shabbat morning walk, we will make our way towards Sand Harbor State Park along the Tahoe East Shore Trail.  Our time together will be filled with embracing the Gem of Creation surrounding us and discussions connected to the wandering of our ancestors.  We will reflect on the meaning of Shabbat, enjoy a brief (<25 minute) service, and spiritually prepare for the approaching seders in our Tahoe Jewish Community congregations of Temple Bat Yam and North Tahoe Hebrew Congregation.  We begin and end on the East Shore Trail at Tunnel Creek Cafe at 10am and return by 1pm and likely not make it all the way to Sand Harbor.  You can park at Ponderosa Ranch Road Parking - there is a fee.  This pin>>> is where we’ll meet.

**Yahrzeit lists for both NTHC & TBY will be shared during our brief service.

***Event details subject to change.  Always check temple websites (TBY or NTHC) for real-time updates/changes.

Our Mountain Judaism programming is open to any and all who would like to participate; they are made possible through the generosity of our Tahoe congregations and your generous support is always welcome to ensure they continue.  Please speak directly with either of our Rabbis to explore ways you can support the Tahoe Jewish Community.
