This will be an approximately 3 miles route and will be geared to all abilities and designed to be right for families too!

Details and what to expect:  3.5 miles of easy terrain.  We'll start at the Sno Park, head into the woods, along Taylor Creek to the dam and Fallen Leaf Lake, then back the way we came. 

Where we'll meet: We will meet at the parking area at the bottom of Cathedral Lake Rd. (intersection of Cathedral Lake Rd. & Highway 89 - there is a parking area).

What to bring:  snacks and drinks for yourself.  Binoculars and/or camera - there are lots of birds and wildflowers to see! Bring a warm layer, just in case.

Future Scheduled Hikes:

Shabbat - Saturday July 30th: Mt. Tallac Summit Hike. Stay tuned for more details. This will be the ’summit’ of our hiking season for the TJC Hiking Club.

Shabbat - Saturday August 6th: Rubicon Trail from DL Bliss to Emerald Bay: This is an approximately 4 miles route with moderate climbing, spectacular views, an historical lighthouse and maybe bald eagle and osprey viewing. This will be geared to those with medium fitness. *Dogs are not allowed on this route.

Shabbat - Saturday October 1st: Rocky Ridge, Burton Creek Loop. This will be a longer approximately 6-mile route. During this hike, we will take time to embrace the High Holy Day season as we will be hiking on Shabbat Shuvah - the Shabbat between Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur.
