TOR/Tahoe Teen and Rabbi Round-table Discussion and Havdallah

We are having an online panel where a few key religious leaders in our community, Youth Director Jake Fefer, Rabbis Alan and Evon, and Director of Education Mary Frank will come together to discuss the topic of the relationship between Judaism and the belief in God. We are seeking the contributions of these community leaders because they come from different backgrounds, those being Jake Fefer as a scientist and believer of scientific values, the Rabbis as Jewish community leaders in the religious aspect, and Mary as both a Jewish Educator but also as someone who chose to convert to Judaism. We aim to reinforce people’s viewpoints as well as educate about others. We will also have breakout rooms where people can hear from a particular panel member and ask questions if they choose. We will close out with an open discussion for anyone to address anyone else and to have a civil conversation about the topic. All are welcome to participate and join in the call. Nobody is required to speak or ask questions and are more than welcome to observe. We do though encourage anyone who wants to talk or has questions to do so during the breakout rooms or open discussion times.
